DAP has been in the forefront in promoting Mahathir as the new Head of the new 4-party coalition of Pakatan Harapan (PH), a coalition which sadly includes the ketuanan uber-racist Pribumi Party, an inclusion which brutally militates against the multi-racialism of the original Pakatan Rakyat.
This is the logical progression that was already mentioned by some leaders in PKR who have spoken up on the matter previously.
“As Anwar is in jail and suffering the five-year disenfranchisement from holding public office on his release from imprisonment next year until he is pardoned, Anwar can only be the eighth prime minister and not the seventh prime minister of Malaysia.
“Who is that seventh prime minister will be decided by consensus when Pakatan Harapan wins GE14,” Lim said in a statement, without mentioning any names.
“(To have Anwar as Pakatan Harapan adviser is part of) the discussions. No decision has been made yet.
“I was made to understand that the leadership structure line up is still being deliberated on at the secretariat level. In the next meeting, the best structure for Pakatan Harapan will be made,” the New Straits Times (NST) Online quoted the Selangor mentri besar saying at an event at the Dewan Jubli Perak auditorium in Shah Alam.
Azmin said that the Opposition's main focus now was to garner attention from the electorate and to “generate a new wave of support” for the pact in the upcoming national polls.
Last week, Malay Mail Online reported that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) was pushing for its chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to be the chairman and president of Pakatan Harapan.
Let me digress a bit to take you to the succinct words of the Singh siblings:
“There can be no doubt that Malaysia needs to be saved. While I agree that Najib ought to go, I cannot agree with the means by which Dr Mahathir proposes to do so.”
“I want to clarify at this stage that it was interesting to see Tun Mahathir in support of Maria’s release when it was him that was instrumental in the cruel enforcement of the ISA.”
The proposal [by PH recruiting and coopting Pribumi] in essence is infusing racial politics into Pakatan Harapan.
Pribumi, by its very uber- racist name alone, speaks arrogantly of itself as a party which no Chinese nor Indian can be a member, not unlike Barack Obama being unable to join the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), nor the late Nelson Mandela being able to join the white supremacist Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB).
Technically and ethnically speaking, neither Mahathir nor Zakir Naik (an Indian Muslim) could join Pribumi as they are convertees and not authentic pribumi, wakakaka.
Anyway, DAP has been in the forefront because of Zaid Ibrahim who was the first to press, propagate and promote Mahathir and Muhyiddin respectively as the new Chair and President of PH.
Pribumi with only one seat in Pagoh taking over PH?
'Tis the Malay votes in the Heartland that Zaid and PH leaders lust after and which they believe only Mahathir can deliver.
Then, two days ago on 13th June 2017, Lim Kit Siang spoke for the first time, openly that was, on the PH's simmering issue, as reported by FMT (extracts) as follows:
... that Anwar Ibrahim is Pakatan Harapan’s prime minister-designate, but will only become Malaysia’s eighth prime minister and not seventh.

Bullshit because he knows already who will be the official PH's 7th PM-designate.
But the subtext tells us that Lim Kit Siang has finally abandoned Anwar Ibrahim and is now, like Zaid, promoting Mahathir.
But the subtext tells us that Lim Kit Siang has finally abandoned Anwar Ibrahim and is now, like Zaid, promoting Mahathir.
Mind, it's not he has a sudden change of mind on the 13th of June 2017. It's just he spoke out openly for the first time, the moment he felt he has the majority of the DAP behind him even with the children of Karpal Singh against his 180-degrees policy change into the Netherlands of Malaysian politics, hitherto monopolised by Mahathir and his UMNO.
Then to distract our attention from his volte-face principles and to shift the load/blame onto Hadi Awang, LKS said:
“I am very intrigued by Hadi’s Facebook posting of the meeting. He wrote that he was asked (by the ambassador) who would PAS support as prime minister if the opposition bloc won GE13.
“Hadi recounted how he avoided giving an answer by asking back ‘who is the candidate agreed to by the US?’, at which both parties laughed and the subject was not pursued.
“This is quite a revelation and confirms that although Anwar was widely known to be the Pakatan Rakyat pick for prime minister, Hadi and his lieutenants had other thoughts.”

Stop being disingenuous Kit Siang, haven't you your-fucking-self just abandoned and discarded Anwar Ibrahim after all your hypocritical "Anwar PM Ke-7" placard waving at the PKR party convention?

I am timing my clock to see how long before these Mafulat idiots run around to suck my ding-a-ling |
Lim Kit Siang was my hero, idol, a kinda-political-datuk-kong, but now I reckon he is an sly sneaky sinister OPPORTUNISTIC bastard. I still trust his son Guan Eng but the father? Nope, no more. But I expect like most Chinese sons, he'd have to toe the family line to a certain extent.
On the same day LKS announced his abandonment and final betrayal of Anwar, Azmin Ali like Gaius Cassius Longinus to LKS's Marcus Junius Brutus, hammered home LKS's initial stab of the coalition stiletto, as reported by MM Online as follows (extracts):

Pakatan Harapan is still discussing a proposal to appoint PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the coalition’s adviser, party deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said today.
Thus, Azmin Ali has relegated, downgraded and demoted Anwar Ibrahim kau kau from PH Leader to coalition adviser (still being discussed) while his Uncle, 92-year old Mahathir, will be crowned as PH's Dear Beloved Chairman.
I never thought I would quote a PKR Chinese leader (knowing Tian Chua for what he is, wakakaka) but I reckon William Leong Jee Keen of Pakatan (MP Selayang) said something very germane and principled (extracts from MM Online's A flawed proposal: Infusing racial politics into Pakatan Harapan):
The proposal for Tun Mahathir to take over leadership of the opposition and for Bersatu to become the dominant party in Pakatan Harapan to win Malay votes, instead of securing victory will end in disaster.
Let me digress a bit to take you to the succinct words of the Singh siblings:
In April last year (2015) the now-defunct TMI published a news report titled Working with Dr M to remove PM will be a ‘disaster’, Pakatan told.
In that report we read Ramkarpal's opinion on working with Mahathir (extracts):
In that report we read Ramkarpal's opinion on working with Mahathir (extracts):
“The question of working with Dr Mahathir is an unimaginable disaster waiting to happen."
“There can be no doubt that Malaysia needs to be saved. While I agree that Najib ought to go, I cannot agree with the means by which Dr Mahathir proposes to do so.”
Ramkarpal said that working with Dr Mahathir would mean that PR would just be maintaining the status quo and allow “corruption to continue” (exactly what William Leong Jee Keen of PKR said).
“I am firmly of the view that saving Malaysia can only mean a new clean, accountable and transparent government."“Pakatan Rakyat must live up to its promise to Malaysians of being that alternative and democratically oust Najib and the BN through the ballot box.”
There wasn't any doubt about Ramkarpal's extremely poor opinion of Mahathir, but alas, LKS has pressed on heedlessly.
And that compelled Ramkarpal's sister, Sangeet Kaur Deo, to state during debates at the DAP national conference (via MM Online):
“I want to clarify at this stage that it was interesting to see Tun Mahathir in support of Maria’s release when it was him that was instrumental in the cruel enforcement of the ISA.”
Hadn't she pointed out the evil putar-belit-ism of Mahathir in his all-too-apparent hypocrisy?
She ought to know how evil Mahathir had been when it was the Mamak's regime that incarcerated her father Karpal Singh three times, in 1987, 1989 and 2000.
OK, back to William Leong Jee Keen:
It is indeed critical for the opposition to win the Malay-majority constituencies, especially the rural Malay areas. There are 114 Malay-majority constituencies in peninsular Malaysia alone. In 2013, BN won 77, PAS 20 and PKR 17. Najib can retain power by winning these 114 parliament constituencies without drawing on his Sabah and Sarawak BN save deposit vote banks.
A way must be found for the opposition coalition to win these constituencies but it has to be based on principles, respect for all interests and consensus. The proposal fails in these respects.
The proposal [by PH recruiting and coopting Pribumi] in essence is infusing racial politics into Pakatan Harapan.
This will not sell. The proposal to win office, is to attract Malay voters by turning Pakatan Harapan into a BN and the continuation of Umno’s racial policies minus Najib. This proposal has serious flaws, three of which are set out below.
I will blog on only one here:
Betrayal of the Reform Agenda
Firstly, the assumption that by adopting a racial supremacy policy, Pakatan can hold on to the 52% who voted for the Reform Agenda in 2013 is false.
If Pakatan Harapan trade Ketuanan Rakyat for Ketuanan Melayu-Minus-Najib in exchange for power, it will be a betrayal of principles, a selling-out of core beliefs.

Pakatan Harapan cannot argue they are acting as statesmen or being pragmatic. The argument that such a compromise is justified by the higher objective of Pakatan Harapan forming the government cannot hold water.
It is disingenuous to say gaining power is better than remaining in the opposition when the deal requires Pakatan Harapan to give up the very core reason to gain power — to institute change through implementation of the Reform Agenda.
It is not a compromise. It is not even a rotten compromise. It is a capitulation. Power without principles is simply greed.
Indeed, I reckon it is Lim Kit Siang's invincible greed for power, as he approaches his political twilight years. He just wants to be in government prior to his swan song, even if he sells his own principles down Sungai Mahthir.
And Anwar Ibrahim may not even be PM Ke-8.
What a greedy selfish unprincipled LKS who has now self destructs his 50 years of sterling efforts, now all gone to waste, in his final betrayal of Anwar Ibrahim, the DAP, his family and himself.
