FMT - IGP warns atheist group not to cause uneasiness (extracts):
KUALA LUMPUR: Police today warned an atheist group not to cause uneasiness among Malaysians, particularly the Muslims, with their activities.
Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar, who issued the warning, said the group must abide by the laws.
“I advise this atheist group not to cause uneasiness, particularly among Muslims who reject atheism,” he told a news conference after witnessing a transfer of duty in the narcotics criminal investigation department and pinning on new rank insignias for senior officers.
Last week, the special officer to the prime minister, Rizal Mansor, expressed his concern over the appearance of an atheist club in Malaysia.
Rizal said the club should not be treated lightly.
“I suggest that we hunt them down vehemently and we ask for help to identify these groups.”
Every person has the right to profess and practice his religion and, subject to Clause (4), to propagate it.
1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

Though sweet naive darling kaytee is an atheist, wakakaka, this is the first time I have heard of the atheist club called, I believe, the Atheist Republic.
Atheism has to do with disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. It is the personal belief of an individual.
Atheism has to do with disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. It is the personal belief of an individual.
For example, I come from a family whose members are variously staunch Buddhists, staunch Taoists, staunch Confucianists (Aussies called them Confucians), staunch Christians, staunch Hindus and staunch Sikh (last one singular, wakakaka).
Oh, lest I forget, there are a couple of us who are atheists, wakakaka. Recently we shivered in great fright when minister in PM's department, Shahidan Kassim (a.k.a Arsehole, wakakaka) threatened to 'hunt us down with great vehemence', until I subsequently found out the 'hunting down' was only for naughty Muslims. Phew!but sorry lah, saudara saudari.
Arsehole (wakakaka) said:“The [Federal Constitution] does not mention atheists. It goes against the Constitution and human rights,”.

“I suggest that we hunt them down vehemently and we ask for help to identify these groups.”
The Constitution also does not mention Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Taoists, Confucianists etc, but only that Islam is the national religion. As Tun Salleh Abas (former Lord President ousted by Mahathir and PAS member) said:
"At the moment, we live in a secular country. The Federal Constitution and the laws state clearly that we are living in a secular state."
"However, it is right to say that Malaysia is an Islamic country, population wise, because the majority of her citizens are Muslims. But it is wrong to say that we have an Islamic government"
Anyway, Article 11 of the Malaysian Constitution says:
"At the moment, we live in a secular country. The Federal Constitution and the laws state clearly that we are living in a secular state."
"However, it is right to say that Malaysia is an Islamic country, population wise, because the majority of her citizens are Muslims. But it is wrong to say that we have an Islamic government"
Anyway, Article 11 of the Malaysian Constitution says:
Religion is defined in dictionary as:
1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects:
Thus, IMHO, atheism (or the one I believe in) might not fall under the term 'religion' because as I mentioned above: Atheist has to do with disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. It is the personal belief of an individual.
My last sentence eliminates 'atheism' from both No: 1 and 2 of above dictionary definition, wakakaka.
Sh*t, a former visitor to my blog, looes74, was right that I have contravened federal laws in not believing in god, though in my mitigation he mentioned I contravened the Rukun Negara instead of Article 11 of the Constitution, wakakaka.
Hmmm, what shall we atheists do? Maybe, like DAP in 2013 readying itself to stand under the banners of PAS and PKR, thanks to a potential threat from RoS, atheists could pose under the labels of Buddhists or Jainists where both religions don't have gods, wakakaka.
But on second thought, is there anything in the Constitution or Penal Code that says: Atheism is prohibited to non-Muslims?
Clause (4) of Article 11 is about controlling or restricting the propagation of any religious doctrine or belief among persons professing the religion of Islam, so atheists watch out.

Atheists do not need the adjective of 'staunch' as in 'staunch Buddhist' or 'staunch Christian' etc, wakakaka, nor do they attempt to proselytise people like devotees of the Christian and Islamic faiths do. They just don't believe in god or gods.
Note I have left out the earliest of those professing the Abrahamic religions as proselytisers. The only reason the Jews don't proselytise 'others' is because the ultra orthodox Jews are not only religious but also racists. So why would they want to convert the 'Others' (goyims or kaffirs) to join them as Jews?
I once saw/heard on an Aussie TV a guest rabbi telling off a (liberal) Jew who was the TV presenter for not dating only Jewish girls. He berated and then encouraged the younger Jew to mix only with Jewish sweeties. What a f**king racist!
Apart from a non-proselytising practice, atheism is also NOT a movement, whether religious (or lack of), social, cultural, political, etc, so I hold great grave and ginormous suspicions about The Atheist Republic.

Why would atheism require such an organisation or club?
