Chen Man Hin, who is one of DAP's founders, has expressed disagreement with the decision not to use the party's iconic rocket logo for the coming general election.
"I feel discouraged, we have been using the logo in our struggle. The rocket represents DAP's position," he told Sin Chew Daily.
JOHOR BARU: DAP veteran, Lim Kit Siang was deeply upset that the party’s 50-year old Rocket logo will not be ignited at the 14th General Election.
The outgoing DAP Parliamentary leader said he was initially disappointed and upset with the decision to use a common logo instead of the party’s logo in GE14.
Lim said he set aside his disappointment for the sake of the opposition pact’s unity in its bid to challenge the current BN government in the polls.
“Not only be, but some of the DAP members are also upset with the move. But for the sake of everyone who had come together for the election, we will follow what logo that will be announced tonight by Tun Mahathir in Pasir Gudang,” he said after meeting DAP members at Stulang, here, today.

I'm a monkey's uncle if he didn't push hard for the DAP to obey Mahathir's dictate for Pakatan to use a non-DAP banner, and then left it to his more popular son to break the bad news to the DAP people.
He has readily acted dunno to all that he has been criticising and condemning Mahathir for 30 years and now, of course he'll agree to everything Mahathir wants, for example, that Pakatan uses the same logo in GE14 but which must NOT be DAP's logo.

The former five-term Seremban MP admitted that he was surprised by the decision not to use the rocket in Peninsular Malaysia.
Chen said he had attempted to contact DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang to discuss the matter but was unable to speak to the latter.
"I do not understand why the DAP central executive committee (CEC) made the decision.
Note carefully how Dr Chen was not able to speak to Lim Kit Siang. That's virtually impossible in today's world of instant communication, unless some f**ker must be hiding from questions by party Venerables.
All we need now to cause an implosion amongst DAP members will be for Sangeet and brother Ramkarpal to speak up against the non-use of the Rocket, wakakaka.
I hope Dr Tan Seng Giaw will also oppose the party's abandonment of the DAP banner in its election fight in GE14.
