MM Online - Fair, independent investigation for Najib, says Anwar (extracts):
He called on all parties not to pass judgement on the former prime minister before a thorough investigation and enforcement of the law were fully complied with.
JAKARTA, May 20 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says investigations on Datuk Seri Najib Razak over the SRC International Sdn Bhd case will be conducted in a fair and independent manner.
He called on all parties not to pass judgement on the former prime minister before a thorough investigation and enforcement of the law were fully complied with.
“To him (Najib), (this is) my advice, find a good defence counsel,” he said after a meeting with former Indonesian president, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of Indonesia’s reform here today.
Very ominous.
I doubt fairness can exist when there prevails a need for 'ch'oot k'ee' by quite a number of 'parties'.

'Ch'oot k'ee' is a Penang Hokkien word which means 'to vent one's fury', wakakaka.
Najib is in deep shit because of this toxic atmospheric emotion. I personally doubt there will be fairness in his trial as unwitting consequence of such emotions against him will predominate. For example, Anwar was reported bas saying:
Najib Razak abused the country’s legal system to imprison him a second time for sodomy.
Speaking to The Observer, the sister paper to UK’s The Guardian, Anwar also said he would not have been jailed if the 13th general election was free and fair as it would have been won by the now defunct Pakatan Rakyat.
The PKR de facto leader told the newspaper that he had, for a time, been frustrated by Malaysia’s institutions, before coming to terms with its frailties and abusers.

That's a heap lot of resentment. And then the Edge Market reported:
Mahathir ruled Malaysia with a notoriously iron first from 1981 to 2003, but now gives off the air of a world-weary academic who is allowing himself to be martyred for his cause.
“This election is personal. I feel betrayed by him, I can’t help it. Najib cannot separate personal things from political workings,” he says, describing in a tone of great injury how Najib has banned anyone in government from being in contact with him, even those Mahathir has known for years.
Piles and piles of resentment.
He'll be most lucky to be given a couple of years' jail and send off into exile.

But I am waiting for the MACC's pronouncement tomorrow following Kadir Jasin's 'predictions'.
