Those who would be caned by orders of the civil courts have been those who perpetuated VIOLENT crimes, like rape, armed robbery, use of weapons in conflicts, kidnapping, etc.
If a person convicted of armed robbery is given the choice of civil court caning of worshipping Baal, he would choose the latter.
Tell me Pak Haji, who would be caned by the syariah courts? Those courts canNOT trial armed robbery, kidnapping, ,murder, any crimes, etc because they are subordinate courts restricted to only Muslim family and religious affairs, so they can cane only those the ulama of Islam consider sins, like being a member of the LGBT or having a glass of Guiness Stout.
LGBT bonking themselves or playing with each other's tetek are not crimes. They may be sins to Islamic clerics but the civil courts do not interfere with sins, only crimes.
